- Help others.

- Right speech.
- Right action.
- Treat others as you would like to be treated.
- Love others without imposing conditions on that love.
- Regularly connect with God.
Helping others does not just mean helping people. You can help animals, plants even the entire system of nature. It is very important to note that to help others effectively you also need to make sure you are taking care of yourself properly. In effect before you can really help others you must help yourself.
Help yourself enough so that you may best help others
Helping yourself really means taking care of yourself. You must get enough sleep, eat properly and exercise to best help others. Equally important is psychological health. Probably the best thing you could do for your mental health is to mediate for at least 15 minutes every day. You can also just take some time for yourself to appreciate the beauty of world around you. Try living just for living, experiencing the experiences life throws at you, enjoying the people, places, cultures you encounter.
Forgive yourself for wrong things you have done to others
When you have done wrong to others it is important to recognize this. However, beating yourself up over these acts helps no one. You need to forgive yourself for foolish hurtful things you have done. When you can forgive yourself you can forgive others.
Forgive others that have done wrong to you.
When others have wronged you, you need to forgive them. Only by forgiving the action can you let go of it. When you let go, the experience will no longer trouble you. If you don’t let go it will continue to negatively interfere with your life. This does not mean you should not get justice. If someone steals from you you are entitled to get what was stolen back. If someone hurts you steps should be taken to preventing the person from hurting others.
Right thought means training your mind to focus on constructive thinking as opposed to destructive thinking. A prime example of destructive thinking is worry. A certain amount of worry is good. Worries can keep important possible events in mind so that you may more effectively deal with them. If, however, the worry is excessive, you will squander time and resources on threats that will probably never materialize.
The most important way to achieve right thought is to master the skill of mindfulness. In mindfulness you concentrate fully on a given task. You don’t force out other distracting thoughts but instead observe them without reacting to them. If your focus ever strays from the concentrated task simply refocus.
Right speech involves having an awareness of how your speech affects others. Right speech should be constructive as opposed to destructive. Destructive speech harms others more than it helps others. Examples of destructive speech are insults and malicious gossip. Practice constructive speech by calling people by name and complimenting others.
Right action involves doing things that result in harmony not dissonance. You want to build things up not tear them down. Though sometimes you have to tear down something old to create anew.
Treat others as you would like to be treated.
“The Golden Rule” otherwise known as the ethic of reciprocity means “treat others as you would like to be treated”. It is a fundamental moral principle found in virtually all major cultures and religions. It is considered the most essential basis for the modern concept of human rights.
Love others without imposing conditions on that love.
When you love others unconditionally you are helping them by making them feel better.
Regularly connect with God.
Connecting with God is very important for your mental well-being. It relieves stress and puts you in a more harmonious frame of mind. There are many ways you can connect with God. Probably the best way is to practice meditation. Other ways might be reading an inspiring book or poem, listening to music, looking at artwork or just interacting with Nature.
